Getting started as an owner

Call or email about your home, your rent goals and your timeline.

We create your owner portal login and email you a temporary password. You upload your deed, ID, HOA and parking rules, insurance and payout details there.

Listing, showings, screening and lease signing, with your sign-off on the terms.

Rent is collected online and your statement is posted in the owner portal.
Common questions
Can I rent a single room?
Yes. Many of our homes are leased by the room. Each listing says whether the bath is private or shared, and the house details describe the whole home.
How do tenants pay rent?
Tenants get a rent invoice each month and can turn on autopay from a bank account or card. Card and bank details are entered on Stripe’s secure page and are never stored by VKMS. Bank payments have the lowest fee, debit cards have no fee, and credit cards add a fee of up to 3%.
How do owners see what’s happening?
Owners sign in to the owner portal for monthly statements, the rent roll, maintenance and year-end tax documents.
How is my information protected?
Portal accounts are created by VKMS only; there is no public sign-up. Your first password is a temporary one we email you, and you choose your own when you first sign in. Documents you upload go to private storage that only VKMS administrators can open, and we never ask for bank or card numbers by email, text or phone.
